How do I get from Cancun Airport to Holbox?

Holbox is an island with no road access. To get there, you travel by land to Chiquilá and then take a ferry to Holbox. How do we find our driver?

Our staff awaits you at the airport or at the port of Chiquilá, holding a sign with your name on it (as indicated on your ticket). You will recognize our driver as we will send you a photo of him via WhatsApp.

Where will I meet my driver at Cancun Airport?

What if we can't find our driver or front desk person?

Our staff is always there. They are most likely just loading another family into a vehicle. If you cannot locate them, please contact our reservations staff via WhatsApp or by phone and they will coordinate immediately.

What happens if my flight is delayed, canceled, or I arrive on a different flight?

You need to contact us if you arrive on a different flight, if your flight is delayed, or if your flight is cancelled, so that we can verify availability according to our reservations.

What payment methods do you accept?

The rates displayed on our website are cash rates in Mexican pesos (MXN).
We also accept credit card payments through OpenPay BBVA by payment link, or directly when boarding the vehicle using our card terminal.
USD cash payments are also accepted.

Do I need to pay a deposit in advance?

Some reservations may require a small deposit in advance to secure the service, depending on the booking details, travel date, route, vehicle availability, or operational requirements.

Can I pay by credit card before arrival?

Yes. Credit card payment can be made securely through an OpenPay BBVA payment link.
If you would like to pay in advance by card, please contact our team and we will send you the payment instructions.

Can I pay by credit card when boarding the vehicle?

Yes. In many cases, credit card payment can also be made when boarding the vehicle using our card terminal.
Please let us know in advance if you prefer to pay by card so we can confirm availability for your service.

Do I need to bring the exact amount if I pay in cash?

Yes, we kindly recommend bringing the exact amount whenever possible.
Our drivers may not always carry change, especially for large bills.
If you plan to pay in cash, please prepare the amount shown in your reservation confirmation to make the pickup process faster and easier.

Do rates change for late-night airport arrivals?

Yes. For airport arrival transfers, the rate may increase by 20% depending on the destination and pickup time. This applies to Chiquila after 8:00 PM, Tulum after 9:00 PM, and all other destinations after 10:00 PM.
If this applies to your reservation, our team will inform you before confirming the service.

Can I pay in US dollars?

Yes. USD cash payments are accepted. If you prefer to pay in US dollars, please confirm this with our team before your service so we can provide the corresponding amount at the time of booking confirmation.

Do you accept credit card payments?

Yes. Credit card payments are processed through payment platforms as described in our Terms. Cash prices may not include tax and/or commissions. Please review details and refund timelines here: Terms and Conditions.

Are tips included?

No. Our transportation service does not include tips. Tips are allowed and appreciated by our drivers. See: Terms and Conditions.

What is the usual tip?

It can be from $5 USD (or $100 MXN) to $10 USD (or $200 MXN), depending on the service provided.

Do you have child seats or boosters?

Yes. Baby seats or booster seats have an additional cost: $150 MXN / $10 USD / €7 / $15 CAD. Please request them in advance.

Can you take us to a restaurant or supermarket before going to our hotel, or to Chiquilá?

Of course! Send us a WhatsApp with your request and we will quote any restaurant stop. For a supermarket stop, there is an extra fee of $600 MXN / $30 USD / €25 / $40 CAD for each hour or partial hour. Must be booked in advance. We will take you to the most logical store along the route.

Do we have courtesy stops included in our service?

There are only courtesy stops at exchange houses or ATMs that are within the scope of the route. This courtesy stop will be made with the vehicle's engine off during the wait.

Is the transfer private?

Yes. Only the people indicated on the reservation ticket go in the vehicle.

What does our rate include?

Our service rate includes only the private transportation service, direct without stops, from Cancun Airport to the port of Chiquilá (or vice versa) on the specified date and time.

Is there a limit on the amount of luggage we can take?

Yes. A maximum of two small pieces per person are allowed without additional charges.

Can I take my pet with me on the trip?

Yes, we are a pet friendly company. Your pet must go in its cage. If you request to take it loose and special cleaning is required, a cleaning fee applies: $500 MXN / $28 USD / €29 / $35 CAD.

What happens if we are a group arriving on different flights and different terminals at the same time?

You must notify reservations since there is an extra cost to go to different terminals. The extra cost for each different terminal is $150 MXN / $10 USD / €11 / $12 CAD.

What is your waiting time policy?

Terms state all services include a free 10-minute waiting time at the destination indicated on the ticket. Once the waiting time has elapsed, the driver will leave the pick-up location and the service will be registered as NO SHOW without refund. Terms and Conditions.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation windows and penalties are defined in our Terms (Types A/B/C, including non-refundable cancellations within 24 hours or less). Please review: Terms and Conditions.

Do you take responsibility for lost items?

Terms state passengers are responsible for their personal belongings, and the company cannot take responsibility for lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced items. Returning forgotten items may incur charges. Terms and Conditions.

Can you take me from the Cancun airport to other places, such as Tulum, Playa del Carmen or the Cancun hotel zone?

How long does it take to get from Cancun Airport to Holbox?

The total trip usually takes around 3.5 to 4.5 hours, depending on traffic and ferry timing. The drive from Cancun Airport to Chiquilá is typically about 2.5 to 3 hours, and the ferry from Chiquilá to Holbox is about 20 minutes.

Booking your private transfer in advance helps reduce uncertainty and keeps the airport-to-ferry logistics smooth.

Do I need to book the ferry to Holbox in advance?

In most cases, ferry tickets are purchased separately at the Chiquilá terminal. Ferries run frequently during the day, but waiting times can vary during peak travel periods.

Your private transfer will drop you off at the ferry terminal so you can take the next available departure.

Is Uber available from Cancun Airport to Chiquilá?

Ride-share app pickups (including Uber) are not authorized to pick up passengers inside Cancun Airport. Because of this, pickup from the airport can be refused or interrupted, and drivers may face enforcement actions.

If you want a smooth, guaranteed pickup at your terminal and a direct drop-off at the Chiquilá ferry, a pre-booked private transfer is the most dependable option.

Can I take a bus from Cancun Airport to Holbox?

There is no direct bus from Cancun Airport to Holbox. A bus option usually requires additional transfers before reaching Chiquilá, and you must still take a ferry to Holbox.

If you prefer fewer connections and less waiting time, a private transfer directly to the Chiquilá ferry terminal is the simplest option.
